College bosses have begun a disciplinary process against a Cambridge University student who burnt a £20 note in front of a homeless man.
Ronald Coyne, a student at Pembroke College, Cambridge, has come in for fierce criticism after he set fire to the banknote in front of homeless Ryan Davies, 31, in the city centre.
Mr Davies has told the News how the student held out the £20 note and said: "I'll give you some change, I've changed it into flames."
Pembroke College, which earlier appealed for "calm reflection", issued a statement saying: “We are aware of the incident that took place in the early hours of Thursday, February 2, 2017. This incident has been referred to the university’s disciplinary process.
